As the value of space within properties increases, there is much greater focus on maximising any remaining areas either for efficient support to existing tenants, or as a potential space for revenue generation in its own right. While in some circumstances this may be a leisure facility for tenants, or a roof-top restaurant, more commonly roof areas are occupied by plant and equipment. In any event, your liabilities, H&S, and other building management considerations effecting personnel working in, on or around the roof, require continual vigilance.
Within the next few years, the ‘Net Zero’ requirements will come into force and you may need to accommodate additional equipment on your rooftop such as photovoltaics and heat pumps.
We have expanded our team to provide a full range of supporting services to ensure you have the most appropriate management processes in place to meet your obligations and to ensure that you or your representatives/tenants, are acting in full accordance with any new regulations.
